How it works
- A reader opens your bot and taps Suggest a post
- They send one message: text, or one photo or video with a caption
- You get a preview of the post, exactly as it will look, with Publish and Decline buttons
- The reader is told their post is with you; they can send the next one after you decide
- Tap Publish and the post appears in your channel with the original media, and the author gets a thank-you
- Tap Decline and the author gets a kind note instead
Setup requirements
- Add the bot to your channel as an administrator with permission to post messages.
- Connect your Telegram account to FlowCastle (Settings → Notifications → Connect Telegram, or sign in with Telegram), then open your bot and press Start once. That is where suggestions arrive.
- Check the channel address in the channelAddress variable: @channelname for a public channel, or the numeric id (-100…) for a private one.
- Press Deploy. From a second Telegram account, send /start, suggest a post with a photo, then tap Publish under the preview and check your channel.
Details
Good to know
- You are the admin automatically: previews come to the Telegram account linked to your FlowCastle account, and only you can publish or decline.
- Each preview has its own Publish and Decline buttons tied to that exact post, so several waiting posts never get mixed up.
- Photos and videos are published as the original file, with no "Forwarded from" label, so authors can stay anonymous.
- Each reader can have one post waiting at a time. This keeps your review simple and stops an old button from publishing a newer post.
- If a post cannot be published (usually because the bot is not a channel admin), it stays waiting. Fix the bot's rights and tap Publish again.
Common questions
- Which channel should approved posts go to?
- Do you want readers to send photos and videos, or text only?
- Should published posts mention the author, or stay anonymous?
Keep in mind
- Don't add an "I'm the admin" button or ask for your Telegram id; the bot already knows you are the owner.
- Don't swap the Publish and Decline link buttons for ordinary buttons; ordinary buttons can't tell which post they belong to.
- Don't forward reader messages to the channel; forwarding shows who sent them.
- This template takes text, one photo or one video per post. Albums, polls and stickers are not supported.
